Saturday - sailing home.

Our last day on the Isle of Man. we had to be up early, packed and out by 10am. We woke up to heavy rain but thankfully by the time we were ready to load up the car it had stopped and the sun had come out. Thanking the Barn's owners we handed over the keys and headed off into Douglas.

There was a street market on, with lots of stalls and bouncy castles. We spent some time looking round then headed into the main shopping area. Purchasing a few souvenirs and making sure we spent all of our Isle of Man money before grabbing a spot of lunch and heading for the ferry.

It wasn't long before we were on board the Manannan, the seacat. This boat was much nicer than the one we had come over on from Heysham. We found comfortable seats near the bow of the boat and not long after beginning the 3 hour crossing, Katie and Alice were able to go and watch 'Despicable Me' in one of the cinema rooms on board. Docking half an hour late in front of the Liver Building, Liverpool, we drove off the boat and back onto the mainland. Home finally at 9.40pm - without unpacking we all fell into bed, shattered.

We've had a super week and we've all truly enjoyed ourselves. It's been especially good to see Brian's family whilst we've been on the island.
