Pointe shoes - are they made of gold?

Not blogged for a while.  It's been a beautiful day, once the mist cleared, so we went through to Northallerton.  Went to price up pointe shoes today for Katie for ballet, they are sooooo expensive.  The shop told me between £50 and £80 depending on what she needs to go with them.  I could buy a lovely handbag for that!!  She needs them for her grade 5 but still I didn't expect that.

 

Going back in a couple of weeks to get them fitted.  I'd better put some pennies to one side!
